Role

The Senior Corporate Accountant will assist with month-end closings, financial reporting, and financial operations. We seek a very motivated, self-starter with an accounting background interested in the biotech industry. This role will report to the Executive Director, Corporate Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the revenue accounting function, including oversight of all product revenue and related gross to net accounting (discounts, service fees, returns, rebates and chargebacks) and all related revenue accounts, including accounts receivables and royalties

Perform the monthly close procedures related to revenue and inventory including the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including managerial financial analysis reporting requirements.

Support the analysis of the Corporate financial statements, including concise and accurate variance reporting.

Prepare ASC 606 and inventory-related schedules for disclosure and related management review.

Review contracts for revenue accounting implications (e.g., renewals, contract modifications, and variable consideration)

Perform and/or review key SOX controls, maintaining documentation, and follow-up as needed.

Evaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies

Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other accounting and finance team members in addition to working on multi-department projects within the company.

Support the senior management team and department heads with in-depth financial analysis as requested by management.

Travel 10-15% to TG’s offices to attend meetings, etc., as required.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

5+ years of accounting experience

Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX requirements

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel

Experience supporting month-end close, preparing and analyzing financial statements, and variance reporting.

Experience with the application of ASC 606 and gross to net accounting

Experience with inventory and cost accounting a plus

Conceptual thinker able to develop financial and analytical models that support business decisions.

Highly organized, possessing high standards of accuracy and precision.

Ability to perform well within restrictive deadlines.

Life sciences industry experience preferred, not required

Experience working in a small biotech setting preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

MS, MBA, and / or CPA or CFA is preferred, but not required
