Role
TG is looking for a hard-working, motivated, and self-starting AP Associate to join the Finance and Accounting Department and add to an already fast-paced and exciting atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
––Responsible for entering and reviewing invoices for accurate recording/coding of information to automated system, ensuring appropriate vendors are paid and payments are made on a timely basis
––Support the Controller and Assistant Controller in the day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, accrued expenses, and month-end close
––Responsible for reviewing and approving monthly expense reports, flagging and reviewing exceptions with compliance & answering expense and payment questions to inquiring employees
––Active involvement and support in operational Accounting processes
––Account analysis
––Proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
––Preparation and review of journal entries for accruals/reserves, preparation and review of supporting documents
––Various administrative duties in support of the Finance team as required
––Ad-hoc special projects
Translate complex information from subject-matter experts into lean and clear text; able to draft documents from templates, drafts and synopses
Professional Experience/Qualifications
––Strong Microsoft Excel and/or Access skills
––Strong knowledge of GAAP
––Experience with NetSuite or other ERP accounting software systems
––Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
––Detail-oriented, with excellent organization skills
––Excellent oral and written communication skills
––Ability to cope in a changing environment
––Willingness to learn new tasks
––Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task
Education
––B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting, finance or economics, or related field, preferred
