Role
The Nurse Educator Oncology Neurology reports to the National Director, Nurse Educator Oncology and Neurology Team. They are a Registered Nurse who is knowledgeable in clinical research and oncology and neurology. The primary goal is to support clinical trial sites and act as a liaison between the site staff/principal investigator and TG Therapeutics. The nurse educator will cover a specified geographic location, calling on identified community and academic clinical trial sites and identified accounts for TG Therapeutics’ pipeline compounds, provide on-site management with study specific tools and educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide education on TG Therapeutics oncology and neurology products and clinical trials within assigned territory.
– Disseminate complex medical, scientific, and clinical trials information.
– Participate in study start up and maintenance in collaboration with the Medical Science Liaison, Site Liaison, Regulatory Team, and the Clinical Operations Team as needed.
– Interact seamlessly with sites, field teams, clinical teams, and leadership to execute clinical trials and inform product development and education.
– Develop and implement a territory field plan to meet corporate goals and objectives.
– Pro-actively identify potential risks for TG Therapeutics’ clinical trials. Assist in developing Nurse Educator Clinical Risk Mitigation Plans to address educational gaps for TG Therapeutics sponsored trials.
– Ensure meeting coverage and write-ups in collaboration with Scientific Affairs and Medical Affairs, when appropriate.
– Provide therapy area expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
– Build collaborative relationships with study site personnel and investigators to support the advancement of TG Therapeutics oncology and neurology (Multiple Sclerosis/Auto-immune) products.
– Create tools to aide staff and investigators in the early identification of potential adverse events, adhere to required study assessments, support patient adherence to study drug regimens and outpatient care of side effects.
– Review of informed consent documents, clinical trial documents, and compound specific documents with attention to detail.
– Manage territory responsibilities as assigned and as needed.
– Manage study lead responsibilities as assigned and as needed.
– Other responsibilities as assigned to support TG Therapeutics Clinical Trials and Pipeline
Professional Experience/Qualifications
––Experience in giving group presentations and public speaking.
––Clinical experience in oncology and/or neurology; nurse educator or infusion experience. Strong experience in Multiple Sclerosis preferred.
––Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with healthcare professionals.
––Strong oral and written communication skills; specifically with medical/clinical material; for effectively interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.Experience in giving group presentations and public speaking.
––Excellent attention to detail and time management skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
––Working understanding of clinical research process and procedures, the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and drug development.
––Self]starter; efficient in a small team environment; highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
––Must be a strong team player and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment where individual initiative, strong sense of compliance and ethics, and accountability to the team are required.
––This position requires moderate travel (25 . 30%)
Education
––University degree in nursing or related fields and current RN license in good standing
